This past weekend was a busy one for Pottstown, with three events happening through Saturday and Sunday. Firstly, The Pottsgrove Manor hosted their Annual Mayfair on Saturday. The festivities kicked off with a Maypole celebration, and throughout the day other activities included history interpreters, a puppet show, and vendors selling their locally made goods. They also opened the doors to the Manor and allowed people to walk through and take in the history. Check out the photos and video below and this article in The Mercury.
Next, just a few blocks away at Riverfront Park was the 11th Annual Powwow on the Manatawny. This celebration of Native American heritage and it started with a grand entrance at noon. Attendees watched exhibitions of tribal dances, browsed the vendors and enjoyed sampling the food. Due to Sunday's inclement weather, the Pow Wow was limited to Saturday, however future events will be held over two days.
Lastly, Pottstown wrapped up its jam-packed weekend with a Pottstown Nights Car Show. The car show was from 3:00pm to 9:00pm and took place downtown on High Street. There were vendors, food, and local shops on the street for people to explore. Even though the weather took a turn for the worse, there are still plenty of opportunities to come down and have fun at the Pottstown Car Shows throughout the summer!
All in all, this weekend was filled with fun events for all kinds of different people to enjoy, and there are still plenty of events to come in the summer.
