Recently, four of PARRC municipalities were awarded funding from the Local Share Account-Statewide Grant Program totaling $1,130,873. These funds will support essential community projects, infrastructure, and services, creating positive, lasting benefits for residents.
Upper Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County received $71,891 to purchase a new police vehicle, supporting local law enforcement needs. Lower Pottsgrove Township was awarded $150,270 to fund a Community Radio System, enhancing communication and safety across the Township. Douglass Township, Montgomery County was awarded a total of $806,412. This includes $527,854 to fund a Dual-Axle Truck Chassis and Leaf Vacuum, along with $278,558 for new Paver Equipment, which will support ongoing road maintenance and improvement projects.
East Coventry Township, Chester County received $102,300, which will purchase a Public Works vehicle and new snowplow equipment to better serve residents during winter months.
These Local Share Account grants represent a significant investment in the safety, infrastructure, and services of our municipalities. By funding essential vehicles, equipment, and communication systems, these grants will help ensure our communities remain safe, efficient, and well-maintained.
