PARRC's Art & History Tour

The Pottstown Area Regional Recreation Committee (PARRC) is proud to introduce the Pottstown Art & History Tour—a unique journey through the heart of Pottstown that connects the town’s art and history. This tour invites both residents and visitors to explore the landmarks and artistic areas that shape the town’s character.

Drawing inspiration from the Historic Pottstown Walking Tour, the Art & History Tour highlights the town's historical areas, such as the iconic Reading Passenger Station and The Schuyler House, among other notable historic sites.

The tour starts at the Family Smith Plaza; however, the self-guided format ensures that individuals can embark on their own personalized routes and set their own pace for exploring Pottstown.

What makes this tour special is the mixture of local art. Thanks to a collaboration between the Borough of Pottstown, PARRC, and Artfusion 19464, twelve signal boxes throughout town have been transformed into vibrant murals painted by talented artists. These works of art add color and life to the streets, connecting history with modern creative expression.

The Pottstown Art & History Tour is free and accessible to everyone. To plan your route and make the most of this enriching experience, visit www.parrc.net and access the interactive map. Whether you're drawn to historic architecture or eye-catching murals, this tour promises a blend of education and inspiration that celebrates Pottstown’s cultural tapestry.
