Spring is Just Around the Corner — And So Are New Projects!

Construction at Chestnut Street Park

Although it may not feel like it, spring is not too far away. With the change of seasons comes warmer weather, and exciting new projects that will bring improvements to parks and trails throughout the Pottstown region.

PARRC and its partners have several projects in the works that will kick off as the weather gets warmer. In Pottstown, the South Street Park Redevelopment Project will begin, providing new play equipment and accessibility and safety improvements. Lower Pottsgrove Township is preparing to move forward with an improvement project in Ringing Rocks Park, including repaving the access drive, adding an ADA accessible picnic area and a new park sign. In Upper Pottsgrove Township, the Hollenbach Park Trail project will soon start, an ADA accessible trail that will expand connections and providing more ways for residents to explore the outdoors. Across the river in East Coventry Township, Towpath Park will undergo a significant redevelopment project to enhance this popular community space, including expansion of the trail network and expanded parking. Finally, North Coventry Township will begin reconstruction of the Riverside Park Boat Ramp, improving access to the Schuylkill River.
