The Last Signal Box Mural of 2024

On the corner of Wilson and State Street, in front of the Pottstown Plaza Shopping Center, another utility box has been transformed into a vibrant work of art. The mural was painted by Diane Deery,

and is a bright and creative addition to the area, catching the eyes of those who pass by.

The Signal Box Mural features a dragonfly cruising through a beautiful sky. Its wings are painted a bold shade of pink and orange that stand out against a cool blue background. The intricate detail in the wing veins adds a lifelike touch, while the minimal plants and flowers below create a balanced scene. The contrast between the bright dragonfly and the muted flowers gives the piece depth.

Diane’s work marks the end of the Signal Box Murals of 2024. We’re excited to see what 2025 brings and how local artists will continue to shape our streets with their creativity. If you’d like a chance to paint a signal box in the coming year, visit our website at parrc.net, go to announcements and fill out the forms to get started!
